Harvest Fields Centre is a community centre in Sutton Coldfield that hosts a wide range of community activities, groups and events throughout the year. Located on Harvest Fields Park, the centre facilitates corporate meetings and community events each week and provides a home for Little Sutton Nursery Club and Harvest Fields Community Church as well. Cherished is a non-profit organisation providing attachment focused support for girls in Primary and Secondary schools across Birmingham. Our groundbreaking self-esteem workshops and mentoring schemes are committed to nurturing, empowering and developing the true potential of young girls.
We work with Primary and Secondary offering various support services - Mentoring and group work to provide a safe space to share.
We believe every girl should have the encouragement and support she needs to realise her full potential. Cherished offers attachment focused mentoring services for girls in small groups and 1:1, with our highly trained, dedicated mentors.
Training - Striving for a trauma informed society
Cherished is recognised as a leading trauma and attachment training provider in Birmingham and the Midlands. We have provided ACE training to West Midlands Police, national charities and a growing number of schools.
Who is it for
Our services are for girls aged 4-18 who need extra that support and nurturing, we help equip them with tools to help them deal with their emotions around anxiety, identity, self esteem, friendships and healthy relationships. We also offer bespoke training and workshops to parents, carers, teachers and all professionals who work with children looking at Anxiety, ACE (Adverse Childhood Experiences), Emotional Literacy, County Lines, Social Media and Domestic Abuse & It's Impact on Children and Families.

There is a cost for obtaining a Level 3 Mentoring qualification of £150, this can be paid in instalments. If you are a volunteer for Cherished you then receive all other training we offer for free.

Our Place Community Hub was formed in 2011 with the aim of bringing vital advice and support services to the Sutton Coldfield community.
There are over 20 voluntary groups and organisations that offer support from the Hub, specifically in areas of mental health and wellbeing.
With a range of space available for hire, the Hub has over 700 visitors per month. Rooms are suitable for one to one work, meetings, support groups and professional training.

Mentoring Scheme
The Our Place Mentoring Scheme holds the Approved Provider Standard Award in Mentoring. Our highly rated support service provides high quality bespoke one-to-one and group mentoring to children, young people and adults who need assistance with their social, emotional, or mental health wellbeing.
All Mentors are trained in Level 3 Mentoring Practice and work alongside individuals on a range of issues including low self-esteem and confidence; loss; challenging behaviours; issues with peer relationships; stress, abuse and mental health issues such as anxiety and depression.
The standard cost of our Mentoring sessions is £30 for Children and Young People and £50 for Adults. We do hold funding and have a number of schools which subscribe to our service. Advocacy Matters
Advocacy Matters is a charity which has provided independent advocacy support in Birmingham and Walsall since 2002 . We provide Independent Advocacy support to over 1000 vulnerable adults and young people in Birmingham and Walsall every year.
We empower our advocacy partners, ensuring that they have a say in their lives and about the issues that matter to them. Advocacy supports inclusion and social justice. Food 4 U
Food bank and hot food for people in need of food from the Sutton Coldfield area. People are usually referred to us by organisations like the Job Centre, Social Services, Homestart, etc.
We are able to welcome people, offer them a warm drink, a bowl of soup and a bread roll and provide a bag of food for them to take away. The needs of people vary depending upon their situation. We, hopefully, also provide some advice, encouragement and support in addition to the food.

Walmley Ash Allotment Association
Walmley Ash Allotments has 60 plots of various sizes, from full size, for the gardener with ample time, or half size & mini plots for beginners. Secluded behind Ashurst Rd & Walmley Ash Rd we offer a private, safe & inclusive environment to indulge your passion for gardening.
As one of the allotment sites in The Royal Town of Sutton Coldfield area, we are always ready to welcome new members & work with the local community, whether it's Sutton in Bloom or the local school field trip. Tucked away in Walmley we can be easily overlooked, even by the locals! But this only adds to the charm of our secluded site where we have been quietly growing our own produce for over half a century.

Newhall Allotments Association
The Newhall Allotments Association is a diverse group of people who enjoy the challenge of growing their own fruit, vegetables and flowers on a rented plot. We have about one hundred plots of different sizes. We often have plots available, or you can go on our waiting list.

Newhall Allotments is located at the North end of The Newhall Valley Country Park. Road access is off Coleshill Road, Opposite Contract Fire Security/Chambers Ford Dealership.
Once you have a plot, you are responsible for the upkeep of the plot and must conform with Birmingham City Council's rules regarding Allotments.
Each plot-holder is free to organise their plot to their own design and grow their own choice of crops. We have an annual show each September for those who are competitive, with small prizes for over 30 Classes of vegetables, flowers, cakes and jams.

Our Association is open to anyone, however Tenants must be over 18 years of age. Children on site must be accompanied by an adult.

Rental costs are between £51 and £115 per year depending on the size of plot. Those over 65 years old receive a 50% discount. Plus there is a £5 Association fee.

Boulevard Allotments Association
We are a thriving community, currently comprising 79 tenants and their families. We have a committee of 10 people who all actively contribute to the running of the site.
On site we have a community building, a site shop for gardening supplies, a toilet block, a communal polytunnel, an apiary, two small car parks and a bike rack. There is piped water on site.
We actively promote good gardening and the growing of vegetables without the use of sprays, pesticides and weed killers.
We regularly host community events, such as an annual Open Day, a barbecue for tenants, a Christmas party and other gatherings where we focus on tidying and improving the communal areas. Volunteers run the site shop. We have an apiary with five hives and a group of beekeepers who care for the bees and welcome new members. We conserve water as much as possible and have two big water collection tanks on site, also each shed has a water butt.

We welcome all who are interested in growing their own food and learning more about good gardening.

The annual rent, paid currently to B.C.C., varies with plot size. The maximum currently is £93.00 p.a. and the minimum, £51.00 p.a. reducing to half rent after the age of 65.

Our community of plot holders are all keen gardeners who enjoy growing their own fruit, vegetables and flowers. Everyone is very friendly and willing to offer advice to new plot holders, or the not so new - we find we are all learning all the time! It can be hard work but is very rewarding when you harvest your crops. We are proud of our site and are always looking for ways to make improvements. We like our plot holders to volunteer to help with communal tasks as and when these arise and to maintain their plots to our cultivation standards.

Anyone who is interested in growing their own produce and who has the time to commit to several hours a week to look after their plot. An allotment not only offers you the opportunity to mix with like minded people, but is a good form of exercise and provides you with quality food. What could be better.

Hill Allotments is a small and friendly allotment site on the northern edge of Birmingham.

Live In The Lodge brings the local community opportunities to take part in free weekly music and instrumental lessons, classes and workshops – open to all ages and abilities, with free instrument loan – on guitar, ukulele, drums, piano/keyboard, spoken word, improvisation and a community choir. Alongside our weekly sessions, there are regular participant performances, both in Falcon Lodge and across Sutton Coldfield and Birmingham, and visiting professional guest artists joining us for concerts and gigs in the community.
LITL also offers workshops and performances in local schools/colleges for primary and secondary pupils, and students with learning difficulties and special needs; a new children’s choir; parent/carer & child learning; co-designed workshops in music production for young people; participatory performances for families, parents and young children; pop-up music sessions across the school holidays; and music for young carers.

Highbury Theatre Centre
Highbury Theatre Centre is a registered charity, running a thriving community theatre. We are the home of the Highbury Players and the Highbury Film Club. Other arts activities include art exhibitions and photography. The theatre is also used by other local groups for meetings, rehearsals and performances.
Highbury Players and Highbury Film Club put on about eight productions and eleven films a year. Our social committee organises quizzes, outings and other events.
Who is it for
Highbury is run entirely by volunteers and we welcome members of the community to take part in any aspect of the running of the theatre and the performance of productions and films. This includes acting, directing, costumes, set building, props, lighting, sound, front of house, box office, bar and coffee shop, stage management, back stage crew, marketing, etc. Anyone is welcome to come to see our productions and films. Class Act runs a youth theatre at Highbury. There are two groups for adults with physical disabilities, learning disabilities and / or autism.

Manor Musical Theatre Company
Manor Musical Theatre Company was formed in 1952 as Manor Operatic Society with performance of Operas and Musical Plays for the encouragement of the Arts and the raising of funds for charitable purposes being the founding objective. A decision was made in June 2015 to change our name to Manor Musical Theatre Company in an endeavour to encourage younger members and at the same time perform more musicals.
We produce one major production each year, generally in late March or April or May at Sutton Coldfield Town Hall. Other musical activities sometimes include a local gala concert Summer, Christmas Carol events and occasional performances for charities. The society also host other social events like meet drink and curry nights also dances where friends and relations are welcome.

The Sutton Coldfield Society of Artists was formed in 1947 to encourage painting as a recreation in Sutton Coldfield. The Society has now grown to over 150 members and has established itself as one of the principal art societies in the Midlands providing a focus for artists of all abilities to learn, practise and develop their artistic skills.

We are a group that has been gaining ground for some years in Sutton Coldfield and Erdington: our mission is to promote a more sustainable way of life; and to implement locally the agreement reached at the UN Paris Conference in December 2015. We believe that local community initiatives are needed to complement national and international action to save our planet from global mean temperature rises caused by greenhouse gases.

Friends of the Green
A residents association supporting and preserving a number of Public Open Green Spaces in Mere Green, Dugdale Crescent and Sutton Coldfield.
We hold (or held, up to pre-Covid-19 days) a public meeting every other month, which normally starts with speaker/s - educational, informing, or entertaining – and attended by at least one City or Town Councillor. We also produce a newsletter, Gatepost, usually in black and white but occasionally coloured, which we deliver to every home (2,600) in the Banners Gate area. Gatepost consists of up to 16 pages of A4 and its contents are like the speakers’ inputs. Over 50 residents are involved in its production and delivery. Gatepost is also emailed, in full colour, to anyone who asks for it, just email bgatepost@gmail.com with “Email Gatepost” in the subject line. Currently, it is not printed so it is 25 pages long as we accept anything that is legal and decent. We aim, when appropriate, to connect Banners Gate with Boldmere and its generous mixture of retail, commerce and industry, hopefully improving both areas.

We are trained therapists who offer support through interactive play for any family who is worried about their child’s emotional wellbeing or behaviour. CPR Counts
We are the Royal Sutton Coldfield Community Group of the Year, 2019, and are a small group of volunteers whose mission is to teach as many people as possible basic life-saving skills in the event of cardiac arrests, heart attacks and choking, along with the use of defibrillators.
We hold our two-hour training sessions at various locations around Sutton Coldfield. These consist of both lecture/demonstration and practical learning. Attendees will learn how to recognise and deal with the different presentations of heart attack and cardiac arrest; the order of events that such first-aid must follow; what to do with the unconscious but breathing patient; what to do if the person isn't breathing; how to and when to apply cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR); how and when to make use of a defibrillator; how to deal with someone who is choking. All of these scenerios are covered for victims of all ages from babies upwards.

We are a caring, comfortable, safe and secure Dementia specialised day care centre. Our opening times are 9.00am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday. We cater for those living with dementia regardless of the stage that they are at.

Breast Friends Sutton Coldfield
Breast Friends is a support group based at Good Hope Hospital in Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands. It is run by unpaid volunteers who have all been diagnosed with breast cancer. Plantsbrook Nature Reserve
Plantsbrook Local Nature Reserve has a number of pools, surrounded by fringes of woodland, wetlands and a wildflower meadow which attracts wildlife.
There are well-surfaced paths and boardwalks across the site.
The park has toilet facilities and a car park which can be accessed via the main entrance off Eachelhurst Road, opposite Pype Hayes Park.

New Hall Valley Country Park
This former farmland covers 198 acres of green belt countryside. It is an important nature reserve consisting of historic wetland grazing meadows, Plants Brook stream, a number of listed buildings, cycle routes, outdoor gym, 2km walking route and a picnic area.
There are playgrounds near the pedestrian entrances on Elm Road and Meadow Close.

All Saints' Church Centre
All Saints’ Church Centre is located behind All Saints’ Church, Four Oaks. It was opened in February 1974 by Princess Margaret to serve the local Community in as many ways as possible.
As well as providing regular bookings for Children’s Clubs, Dance Lessons, Keep Fit and Martial Arts the Centre is a popular venue for private parties and also runs a member’s bar. We have both Kitchen and Bar facilities for use by our hirers and plenty of parking in our car park.

What we do
We have five rooms available for hire ranging from a small meeting room, a larger hall that can hold up to 120 people and a smaller hall which can accommodate up to 60 people, together with a further 2 halls located in a separate building. Both of our halls in the Centre are adjoined by folding doors, which open to make a large space capable of holding up to 200 people for an event. Our larger hall can also accommodate a bouncy castle for children’s parties. We are equipped with a sound system and can provide staging for events such as award ceremonies.

Little Aston Community Association

We have monthly meetings involving speakers from all over England giving advice, and we also have our own experienced members on some occasions. Every year we take part in displays at local carnivals where we sell plants to gain funds for the Society. We also have a raffle each month to pay for the speakers and hold monthly competitions. We meet weekly and have a programme of talks and presentations covering all aspects of railway operations old and new, British and overseas. One meeting each month is a track night which enables members with a modelling interest to run trains, exchange ideas and generally have a chat. We hold an annual photographic competition and organise visits to heritage railways and other sites of interest. We also hold an Annual Model Railway Exhibition during April.

What we do
We offer both social and competitive league bowling. At the height of a normal season we field up to twenty teams per week. Certain teams are in leagues specific to those aged Over 55 and Over 60.
Who is it for
All ages (including children), male and female. Free coaching, free use of equipment, no special clothing required.

The basic membership fee is £45. Bowlers under 18 have free membership and there are discounts for new or guest members. ‘Per league match’ fee of £1.50, but social bowling is free.

Sportsco Football Club
Sportsco is a modern forward-thinking football club, built on a strong desire to provide quality football coaching and competitive games, with passionate aspirations to succeed.
The Club has progressed rapidly from its recent formation, with the fundamental philosophies of excellence in football coaching and the enjoyment of every player firmly installed at its heart.
Sportsco Football Club is now extremely well known throughout Sutton Coldfield and the greater Birmingham area, with teams participating in the Central Warwickshire Youth League, Tamworth League and Lichfield and District Recreational League, recently receiving national recognition as an FA Charter Standard Club.

England Netball
We run three programmes across Birmingham known as Walking Netball, Back 2 Netball and Netball Now. They are all about low cost, participation and low commitment. At England Netball we support women getting together having fun whilst being active. Anyone is welcome, any standard, age or ability.
Each session is slightly different! Walking netball is playing netball at walking speed. Back to netball is for people who want to get back into netball or even start brand new who require some coaching and support. Netball Now is simply just playing netball for the hour!

Sutton Coldfield Adventure Unit
SCAU is a non-denominational group with a wide appeal to children from a number of different schools across Sutton Coldfield. Sutton Coldfield Adventure Unit (SCAU) was formed in January 2013 with 65 children. We now have over 200 children and over 50 volunteers.
